SIIT Foundation

The Institutional Advancement Unit (IAU) of SIIT is in the process of establishing a charitable foundation. The Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies Foundation will serve as a fund development mechanism for the institution, one of Saskatchewan's four post-secondary organizations with the authority to provide diplomas and certificates.

Research is currently underway to establish the priorities of the institution and help shape the campaign that will guide future fundraising efforts. It is anticipated the campaign will be directed towards capital projects, new programming, technology, scholarships, and student services such as housing and daycare.

The foundation will be governed by a Board of Directors and will meet the regulations under the Non-profit Corporation Act and the Revenue Canada Agency. The formal launch of the foundation is expected in early Fall 2010.
