Construction Worker Prep program concludes in Regina

The Construction Worker Prep program concluded with 8 students graduating.

We celebrated this special occasion at Ricky’s All Day Grill and highlights included: delicious food, parting gifts and awards for Attendance, Top Marks & Leadership. A photo shoot to commemorate the event was undertaken by one of the staff.

Class projects included an 8’ x 12’ shed from start to finish, office renovations, saw horses and tool boxes as well as an assortment of trade related tasks. We emphasized accurate measuring, layout, cutting and assembly of various components. The electrical instructor Norm Walker kindly facilitated an interesting tour of the Polytechnic Institute in Moose Jaw.

Kudos to Laron and Park Ave. Builders, Marnew and R Contractors and JIC Renovations, all of whom either took or agreed to take students on job placements.
