Located only two blocks from the Meewasin river valley is the SIIT Saskatoon Campus. The Saskatoon Campus is the institute's largest and busiest campus, with about 300 students and 150 staff in a seven-floor building. Most of SIIT's administration is located here too, so it's not unusual to run into the Dean of your program or the Vice-President of Academics.
Between staff and students you will always see active involvements with fundraising for students, or with outside organizations and activities involving food. Everyone at this campus has a smile, is genuinely happy to see you and makes an effort to stop and chat. Many think of the Saskatoon Campus as one big happy family.
You may be interested to know Saskatoon gets its name from the Cree word "misaskwatomina" which translates to mean "the berries that grow along the river's edge". The city of Saskatoon has much to offer, such as the Meewasin river valley that contains over 400 acres of riverbank trails and parks. In addition, many festivals and events take place year round in Saskatoon only a short distance away from the Campus.
