Adult 12

To receive an SIIT Adult 12 diploma, the student must successfully complete a minimum of 7 credits. Courses offered allow the learner the flexibility to plan their career path.

The earning potential is Minimum Wage and up to $25.00/hour.  See drop-down menu for employment.

Once you complete Adult 12

With the completion of the SIIT Adult 12 program, learners will have achieved the provincial Adult 12 Secondary Program allowing for direct access to the:

  • Workforce,
  • Vocational training programs and
  • University.

Coupled with the academic program is the support learners receive nurturing the development of personal and social attributes relevant to creating sustainable, independent and contributing citizens.

What do I need to get in?

Must be 18 years of age or older, out of school for at least one year, First Nations with treaty status, will be required to complete the Canadian Adult Achievement Test (CAAT).

What is CAAT Testing?

The Canadian Adult Achievement Test determines your grade level. You will be tested in the following areas:

  • Vocabulary
  • Reading Comprehension
  • Number Operations
  • Problem Solving

You will be placed in the respective Adult Basic Education level according to your score in all four sections of the CAAT test.

Graduation Requirements

Completion of all academic requirements. Must maintain a +90% attendance record. Graduation from Adult 12 qualifies you for post-secondary programs at SIIT.
