Computer Network Technology

The Computer Network Technology program is a two year diploma program with a primary focus on network/desktop design, management and support. This program will provide a solid functional grounding in the management and support of general computing technology in the modern networked workplace and will train you to work in a small, medium or large company or organization. The program provides learners with the skills to succeed in a fast-paced industry.

Graduates from the Computer Network Technology program will typically start their careers in entry level positions. Depending on the position, you could see a starting salary of between $40K and $60K.

Admission Requirements

Academic Requirement(s):

  • Regular/Adult 12
  • Math 30 Foundations or 30 Pre-Calculus - Minimum 60% avg.
  • English A & B - Minimum 60% avg. 

Students that do not meet the minimum requirements may still qualify via CAAT test.

Mature Admission:

  • Age of 21 or older
  • Out of school for one (1) year
  • Any applicant under mature admission is subject to a CAAT test

If you are currently enrolled in and completing highschool:

  • Submit most up-to-date high school transcript
  • submit a confirmation of enrolment of your final semester courses

What is CAAT Testing?

The Canadian Adult Achievement Test (CAAT) is a measure of your current functional level in Reading Comprehension, Number Operations and Problem Solving and Language. This battery of assessments has been designed specifically for the Canadian adult, regardless of his or her previous school experience.

You will be tested in the following areas:

  • Reading Comprehension
  • Number Operations
  • Problem Solving
  • Language

You will be placed in the respective program of choice according to your score in all four sections of the CAAT test.

Based on 2017/18 Tuition & Fees:

Tuition: $3700.00
Books and Resources: $1200.00
Compulsory Fees: $1225.00
UPASS (City Transit): $248.00

Graduation Requirements

To graduate, students must complete all courses with a minimum average of 60%.
