IT Support Specialist

The IT Support Specialist program will train you to troubleshoot and solve computer related problems.  You will be able to assist users with software, hardware, peripherals such as printers, mobile devices and network environments. 

Graduates from this program can start their careers in entry level, technical positions.  Earning potential starting between $40K and $60K.  This field of employment has tremendous opportunity for growth and advancement, with high end earning potential.

Program Overview

This is an 8-month certificate program where students will gain hands-on experience with computer hardware, software and networking.

Course content is aligned with several highly recognized industry certifications.  Certification exams are not required or included in the program.  It is up to the student to schedule and challenge exams on their own if they choose to do so.  The following certifications may be obtained upon completion of this program and adequate hours of practice:  CCENT, CompTIA’s A+, CompTIA’s Security+, and ITIL Foundation. 

Admission Requirements

Regular Admissions:

  • Regular Grade 12/Adult 12/GED

One of the following or equivalent:

  • Math: Workplace or Apprenticeship 30
  • Math: Foundations 20
  • Math: Pre-calculus 20

Mature Admission

  • 21-years-of-age or older
  • Any applicant under special admission is subject to a CAAT Assessment

Tuition: $3,700.00
Textbooks: $1,200.00
Compulsory Fees: $1,225.00
U-Pass (City Transit): $250.00 [If applicable]

Graduation Requirements

To graduate, students must complete all courses with a minimum average of 60%.
