Welding - Applied Certificate

This program prepares learners for entry level work in the welding trade, including preparation for the Level 1 Welding Apprenticeship program. It provides knowledge and skills development in operating welding equipment and performing basic welding operations using current welding practices. Learners also have an opportunity to achieve certification in safety and other courses related to the industry.

Graduates can expect salaries ranging from $26,400 to $66,000.

An individual must obtain 5,400 total hours with 600 hours accredited from the program. It normally takes three years to complete the required hours.

  • Grade 10

  • Any Math 10 Level

  • Any Science 10 Level 

Mature Admission:

  • Age 21-years or older
  • Any applicant under special admission is subject to a CAAT Assessment
